(2,863 ft / 873m) Ordnance Survey Sheet 16 Grid Ref NC 426339 (from 383329)Forty-five minute drive from Cairncroft. Two and a half hour climb. Park off the main A838 near the Stalkers House at West Merkland. Walk up the glen on the rough track for one mile, and then turn right onto the path that follows the southern bank of the Alt Coir a' Chruteir. Follow the burn as far as possible, and then make the relatively uncomplicated ascent to the summit. As mountains go, Ben Hee has little to recommend it, other than its Corbett status and some nice summit views. |
