Loch Migdale Bonar Bridge. An absolutely beautiful setting in which to fish for wild brown trout. A day ticket and boat can be booked through the Kyle of Sutherland Angling Association, or Macleods Ironmongers, Tain.

River Fishing
The Kyle of Sutherland near Bonar Bridge. Day tickets available to fish the Association water. The Kyle is fed by the Carron, Cassley, Oykel & Shin. All top quality salmon rivers. In addition to good grilse fishing, permits are also available to fish for sea-trout on the mud flats at Bonar Bridge. Permits from Macleod's Ironmongers, High Street, Tain.

River Shin. From August onwards
the picturesque lower reaches of this salmon river are available to rent on a daily basis, subject to availability (limited). Contact the Gillie, Wille Pirritt on 01549....
River Inver. Small Sutherland river on the north west coast. It flows from Loch Assynt into the sea at Lochinver. Lovely setting to fish for salmon and trout. A boat is available on the lower beats. Information and tickets from the Inver Lodge Hotel, Tel.01571 844496.
The Kaniard. About four miles long, the Kanaird flows just north of Ullapool into the mouth of Loch Broom. Both salmon and sea trout can be caught. More details are available from, Strutt & Parker, London Tel. 020 7629 7282.
River Kinloch. Small river which flows into the Kyle of Tongue on the North coast. Salmon and sea trout fishing available through Strutt & Parker, London. Tel. 020 7629 7282.
River Kirkaig near Lochinver. Salmon fishing confined to the first few miles of this steep river system because of the size of the waterfalls. Excellent on it's day. Beautiful setting. Permits available exclusively from the Inver Lodge Hotel Tel. 01571 844496.
